We went along to the heart of East London to take part in an acoustic session and interview with Propaganda Radio station, which broadcasts every Thursday between 7 and 8pm on the internet (Xstream East Radio). Again Matt, GreG and I armed with acoustic guitars and a cajon played three songs ‘Out of Control’, ‘Nobody’s Fool’ and new track ‘Undercover’.
Andy and Jamie were lots of fun and asked GreG all about his cajon and how we had all met. We also heard the sad news that The Rakes, a cool band who were also produced by Junk Scientist, had split up – but I’m sure the boys will move onto better things as individuals.

It’s the end of July/August and I’m starting to get the out of office e-mail replies and suddenly everything is slower as everyone goes on holiday. Of course there are the Ashes to look forward to if it doesn’t get rained out and sometime mid-August football season will start again.
Then there are the festivals – V and Leeds/Reading at the end of August and lots of little festivals en route. No holiday for me this year – my trip across USA gets delayed for another decade – but I’m pretty sure it will be next year.
We are also only playing a couple of gigs this month as we get ready to record in September and October exciting for us. It is always hard to turn down gigs for me but I really want us to release our record end of this year/early next year. We have been recording our rehearsals in anticipation.
In other news, we met Chris from Waxdolly at our Cavendish Arms gig which he videotaped in June and this month he will put on his show as his featured artist – (date of show 08/08/09). Later this year, we will go along to the studios for an exclusive interview and acoustic session (look out for a similar deal with Propaganda Radio).

We had our first radio show on www.playvybz.com this week and it was really fun. Having never been in a radio studio before – my thoughts were running wild as to what we would find – Maybe a Wossy/Russell Brand style radio host or a US Shock Jock DJ, The songs and interview would also be recorded live and broadcast immediately with instant feedback from the listeners- no pressure then!
With our acoustic instruments in tow we went along to Brixton and the studio. DJ Wayne Boucaud met us and was really friendly, Greg brought along his Cajon and then we set up for the interview. 45 minutes later we didn’t want to get off the radio! We played Don’t Forget Me and Nobody’s Fool and answered lots of questions about music and inspirations – one subject we can all talk for hours and hours and hours about. The radio interviewee that lives amongst us all came out kicking and screaming – what it is about microphones and music that just turns you into Barry White?
The full interview will be up on the site for you all to listen here- so let us know how we did till then here’s a photo for you
